About
The Hotstegs family's involvement in jewelry dates back to the 18th century. After WWII, Karlheinz Hotstegs trained as a goldsmith, watchmaker, and optician. In 1964, he and his wife Ursula combined their passions, founding a company that specialized in integrating jewelry with eyewear — creating chains, lorgnettes, and decorative magnifiers.
With a focus on innovation and quality, their product line grew rapidly. International trade shows in cities like Milan, New York, and Tokyo helped establish a global presence. Today, the company serves over 3,000 clients in more than 60 countries.
After Ursula’s passing in 1989, her son Stefan became managing director of the newly named Ursula Hotstegs GmbH. The business continued expanding. In the 1970s, repairs to spectacle frames marked the start of HSC, a dedicated optician service launched by Holger Hotstegs in 1980. It became a leading provider for opticians, jewellers, and watchmakers. Following Karlheinz’s death, daughter Petra Hotstegs joined the family company, continuing its legacy.
